Mother's Testimonials

Lilla Elin

To get everything ready at work before my maternity leave, I needed to spend long days sitting in front of the computer. Unfortunately, that meant that I suffered from intense SPD pain, but I was able to use the Femina discreetly and effectively when I felt SPD pain in my thigh, even when I was at work. The CEFAR FEMINA has done wonders for my SPD and swollen legs and helped me through the last months before little Elin arrived.

Graviditet

During my pregnancy I experienced SPD problems as early as 18 weeks in. I used TENS all the way up to childbirth, both for the pain in my sacrum and frontal pelvic region, with excellent pain-relieving results.

Smärtlindring vid graviditeten

I have used TENS during all three of my childbirths. The first couple of times, I only used TENS for the actual childbirth and needed no other pain relief.

When I was expecting Peter I used the Cefar FEMINA’s massage program on both my shoulders and lumbar region in the seventh month. After a full day’s work I felt tired in my back and shoulders so I would end the day with some TENS in my bed. It was so nice. Sometimes, there would be a bit of competition for the TENS unit, as my husband found it really good for the pain in the arches of his feet ...

Again, during Peter’s birth the pain relief from the FEMINA worked so well that I didn’t need to take anything else for the pain. In addition to the pain relief, TENS actually works as a distraction – it gives you something to play with. Today, I miss the Cefar FEMINA because it would have been great for my shoulder pain resulting from breast feeding.

My first child arrived four weeks premature. When the childbirth began, I still hadn’t decided which kind of pain relief I was going to choose. TENS became the clear and only choice that helped me through childbirth.

I am now expecting my second child and am using the CEFAR FEMINA every night to relieve my formication and cramps. I hope to use TENS as the only method of pain relief for my forthcoming childbirth.

I started using TENS for my first childbirth when my water broke. It began to relieve my pain and everything was working well. After a while, the labor pains became more intense and the midwife suggested I should take a bath. They took away the TENS unit while I bathed and as a result I suffered terribly intense pains.

With that experience in mind, I held fast to my TENS unit during my second childbirth. In the end, when the pain got too great, I asked for an Epidural and the midwife said we should switch off the TENS unit until the anesthetist arrived. But, no way! The TENS unit was kept on until the doctor arrived.

I think that all pregnant women should be offered TENS as a pain relief method during childbirth. It gives them the unique chance to be in control of the method.
